On the 25 August 2005, National Police Heroes, Security Safeguarding Models and Awarded Agencies Representatives’ Conference was ceremoniously held in Great Hall of the People in Beijing. Secretary General of CCCPC Hu Jintao, Prime Minister Wen Jiabao, Mr.Zeng Qinghong, Mr.Li Changchun, Mr.Luo Gan and other leaders of CPC and State gave cordial reception to representatives attending the conference. Secretary General Hu Jintao delivered an important speech. Mr. Luo Gan attended the conference and made a speech as well. In the conference, Decision of State Department on Awarding Honorable Titles to Public Security Bureau of Jiashan County Zhejiang Province and 6 Other Agencies and Decree of MPS on Awarding National Excellent Public Security Agencies and Police Officers from 2003 to 2004 were announced. 254 representatives of police heroes and security safeguarding models, 161 representatives from awarded agencies, 49 representatives of excellent internal security officers and public order safeguarding officers, 9 family member representatives of martyrs to duty and 2 representatives who help others for a just cause attended the conference. National Police Heroes, Security Safeguarding Models and Awarded Agencies Representatives’ Conference was an embodiment of recognition and support of CCCPC and State Department towards public security work and force buildup, which further encouraged and inspired the whole police force, and provided full momentum to public security work and force buildup.
